IPM Show # 35 "DAY OF SILENCE"

As a podcaster and a webcaster, I have been basically telling my listeners to please visit http://www.savenetradio.org, and get themselves up to speed with what is about to happen in 3 weeks.

I use live 365 as my broadcast provider, and any of you that
use them in conjunction with your terrestrial radio broadcasts might
want to explain to your listeners that the on-line portion of your
broadcast will go down on that day. just about all streams will cease.
See their website for details. (
http://www.live365.com

The major record labels through their enforcement legal arm (The RIAA)
continue to claim that we (webcasters) hold no value for them to
promote their artists. This is simply the most idiotic of stances to
take on this issue. Needless to say, they continue to maintain that
position.

Fortunately for Podcasters, most of the music that we play is what we
call "Pod-safe". This simply means that either the recording artist is
independent, and has given us permission to use their music in our
broadcasts, or the artist has joined the pod-safe music network, over
at podshow.com, or some similar music network that supports the creative commons movement for independent licensing structures.

Please stay informed! Contact your congressmen! Tell them to support Bill H.R. 2060 "The Internet Radio Equality Act"

Thank You!

Music in this show:

"Get It Right" by "The Plateros"

see: www.nativecprmusic.com

Contact the show:

Telephone: 860.237.8400
email: nativemusic@gmail.com

Indigenous Peoples Music episode 21

Hello, and happy 4th of July! For this episode, I have reached WAY back to the year 2002, and a interview that I did with singer, songwriter, composer, traditional flute player, and all around nice guy....Joseph Firecrow.

This was recorded in my old recording studio which I miss very much. The studio was located next to a boat marina, and was ideal for recording. The studio was designed for internet broadcasting. There was just enough room for a small 4 piece band. Having artists visit and perform for a live internet audience was awesome! It could also be demanding, as I had a full time job, and any night where I had to broadcast and a band was scheduled to appear, it was kind of crazy until we were "on the air" and then I could relax a bit.

So anyway, I hope that you enjoy this older interview. Please visit joe's website for more information about him, and to order his music.

http://www.josephfirecrow.com

INDIGENOUS PEOPLES MUSIC SHOW # 17

I open the show with a track called "Spirit Horses" from a group called "Brule'. They are an outstanding family of talented musicians who are lakota. Stay tuned as I release thier current promotional vidoe in three parts!

Indigenous Peoples Music has been chosen to cover the 8th annual "Native American Music Awards" or the "NAMMYS". The event is going to he held on June 8th, 2006 at the Seminole Hard Rock casino in Hollywood Florida. I am very excited to cover this event. IPM will provide a live audio stream of the show so you will be able to hear the winners as they are announced live! We will also be sharing highlights of the awards including as many interviews as we can for our podcast later in June. Please Visit the Nammys website for updates and details!

Next in the show, we played a cool track from Darryl Tonemah called "Fly".

The next song that was played in the show was by Mohawk artist "Jimmy Wolf" The track is called "Anella Vanella"

Next we hear from one of my personal friends, JOSEPH FIRECROW by playing a track off of his current CD "RED BEADS" which is released on the Makoche label. I have recieved permission by the Makoche label to use one of thier videos of Joe which appears on "RED BEADS" cd for my podcast. I will combine that video with some footage of Joe performing last year at Schemitzun 2005. I will time the release of that "Native Video Spotlight" with the opening of my store through our podcast website at: www.native-music-podcast.com

And I close the show with a song called "Hidden Herritage" from Peter Buffet.

A quick question to you guys out there. I am looking for a good video webcasting company to cover the Native American Music awards. camera equipment will already be provided. I am looking for a company to provide inexpencive services for this event. We estimate the show to run 2 1/2 hours in length. If anyone would like to bid on this project, please submit a proposal to me via e-mail at:
